A revisit to the crash site of Halifax JD417 to return the
Gyro I found some time back to the mountain, on the way down I choose a
different route and was lucky to find this small group of parts
some distance from the actual crash site

Anson EG129 , Pen-y-Groes
A
full day out on the hills , this is the Marsh where Anson EG129 of 9
(O)AFU crashed on the 1-3-1943 near Llieur Fawr Farm, Pen-y-Groes after
suffering engine failure with the sad loss of all 5 crew .
The plane fell into a very boggy area and much may remain hidden below the surface but deff one for the digger

Hawker Hunter XG204,Rhosneigr
Out with the dogs and to find a couple of local crashes this one in
Rhosneigr and now under housing is the site of the crash of Hawker
Hunter XG204 on the 15/08/1969 the plane struck the ground [by the big
house] shortly after take off from R.A.F. Valley only about 3/4 mile
away, sadly the The Lebanese pilot Officer Cadet Y.Chamseddine was lost .
