Third site of my trip was Avro Anson N9853 which crashed a short walk away from the Dragon site this plane flying from RAF. Newton ,Nottingham to take 3 instructors to RAF. Millom, Cumbria on the 11th December 1944 But the fickle Pennine's weather led to the pilot loosing contact with the ground letting down to find a fix the plane impacted Edale moor injuring to varying degrees the 6 personnel on board all survived this crash .
.

On the moor in the gully i found scattered remains and both engines still resident walking up hill there is a area of small remains of wood, screws ,glass and perspex plus near by some battery parts and this Bakelite Knob lying in the wall of the scar [any ideas ?]
