Heyford K6875 Broadlee Bank Top , Edale Valley

Just back from another epic peaks trip  with Sean Moran and the terrible two some  10 miles and 6 sites in fantastic weather first up Heyford K6875 which crashed on Broadlee Bank Top , Edale Valley during a night navigation exercise from 166 Sqn Leconfield, Yorkshire July 22nd ,1937 the plane flying in poor weather was about 13 miles off course when it stuck the ridge exploded in flames with the loss off all six souls onboard many locals rushed to the scene but could do nothing to help the unfortunate crew .

At the crash site a small burn area littered with fragments remains as the only reminder of the terrible events but after a short look about I brought up a few bits which stood out two buckles and remains of a zip being the best
